```Job Summary```
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, such as hotels, and other Friendship Shelter sites. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will contribute to creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for our guests or residents.
```Responsibilities```
-General sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors
-Vacuuming carpets and rugs
-Emptying trash receptacles as needed
-Dusting furniture and room accessories
-Scrubbing/sanitizing sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in staff and guest bathrooms
-Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters
-Deep cleaning kitchen appliances as needed
-Keeping all public spaces neat and tidy
-Sweeping/mopping exterior balconies, stairs, driveways, or walks
- Maintain a weekly schedule, that includes traveling, to perform the above duties at several Friendship Shelter locations. Cleaning will occur in offices, shelter facilities, and residential spaces.
-Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products, ensuring appropriate usage. Report repairs/replacements as needed.
-Maintain a safe, positive environment and treat all guests, tenants, and coworkers with dignity and respect.
Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards is beneficial
- Previous experience in professional cleaning preferred.
- Reliable transportation with valid license, insurance, and registration.
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds.
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, push, lift, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time.
- Pays attention to detail when cleaning
- Organized and able to follow a schedule
- Able to follow verbal directions
- Must be comfortable working in a Housing First and Harm Reduction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $20.60 per hour
