Job Summary: Responsible for the environmental sanitation of the Surgical Services Department, including but not limited to turnover and terminal cleaning of OR rooms, PACU, patient cubicles in Pre and Post Op, Nursing Stations, and Offices under the umbrella of the Surgical Services Department.

Job Responsibilities:

- Performs all duties associated with the general housekeeping day shift responsibilities according to policy and procedure.
- Efficiently and effectively cleans operating rooms along with following policy and procedure for operating room turnover.
- Appropriately cleans and maintains a neat environment in the semi-restricted and unrestricted areas of the surgical services department.
- Performs other departmental maintenance procedures appropriately and efficiently to include daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Education Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements: Hospital housekeeping experience preferred.
Working Conditions: Exposure Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them, are Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
