Housekeeper

Reports To Director of Environmental Services/Executive Director

• Clean resident rooms according to schedule

• Make beds

• Sweep, dust, remove trash, change linens and replace soiled items with clean linens and towels

• Check for any insect infestations

• Report if open food is being left out

• Report any odors in the rooms, hallways and/or common areas

• Clean assigned Common areas, public restrooms, offices as assigned

• Curtains are to be checked for wear and tear

• Report any hazardous situation immediately

• Launder clothing and return to resident according to schedule

• Torn or faded linen is to be used for cleaning rags.

• Make sure to wear name badges and appropriate uniform/shoes

• Supervision and checking the cleanliness of the surrounding community areas, lobby, dining room, etc and action/reporting made to the appropriate person(s).

• In addition to the above, any other job given by the housekeeping manager or the senior management staff from time to time.

• Supervision of quality maintenance and infection control.

• Planning and scheduling the standard procedures in writing for the proper care of all types of floors, walls, windows, furniture, bathrooms.

• Disposal of trash from assigned rooms, public areas and offices

• Maintaining the checklist of linens and housekeeping supplies for your wing/unit/rooms

• Take adequate precautions for controlling cross infections using Universal Precautions and Personal Protective Equipment

• Keep informed of new cleaning agents and follow instructions for handling any potentially hazardous chemicals. Follow the MSDS guidelines and report any accidental spills or contact with chemicals.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
