Performs daily cleaning routine in patient rooms, public areas and ancillary areas. Maintains the healthcare environment in a clean, sanitary and attractive condition for patients, visitors and employees utilizing various cleaning equipment. Collects regulated and non-regulated waste, soiled linens and materials and places in designated locations per regulatory guidelines.
1. Regular, consistent, on-site, and timely attendance
2. Cleans and services any assigned hospital area/facility.
a. Performs routine cleaning requests from customers within departmental duties.
b. Performs daily clean-up and care of equipment and materials, etc.
c. Meets hospital's established standards of cleanliness
d. Utilizes department established work patterns and cleaning steps
3. Collects and transports regulated and non-regulated waste, soiled linens, or materials to designated locations in a manner described in department procedure and per regulatory guidelines
a. Containers/Liners secured and placed in upright position to prevent spillage
b. Waste holding areas are cleaned daily.
4. Obtains, utilizes and replenishes supplies in a cost effective manner according to hospital/department procedure
a. Accurately records supplies taken/removed on department inventory form.
5. Records accurate data on all work related forms
a. Communicates on form as to status of task, verbally to shift charge person.
b. Assures all requested data fields of forms are completed
“Ability to perform the Essential Functions on the Physical Conditions chart; and the ability to perform the Essential Functions on the Working Conditions chart (see attached charts)”
1. 1. Moves furniture including, but not limited to beds, chairs, gurneys in patient areas.
a. Follows direction from the charge person.
b. Utilizes resources to prevent damage to all surfaces.
