Housekeeper

The Morris Estate is a high-end, luxury estate situated on 600 acres in Niles Michigan. We are looking to hire 1-2 new housekeepers to grow our team for our upcoming busy season. Our goal is to help ensure that our guests are able to enjoy the best that our property has to offer!

POSITION | HOUSEKEEPER

START DATE | On or before May 1st, 2021

SCHEDULE | Part Time, 20-40 hours per week. Weekly schedule will be based on events and lodging schedule. Weekends are required. Employee will be available as needed by manager on all days of the week; however, flexibility will be allowed due to scheduling conflicts as communicated. Employment is guaranteed for one

month with the possibility of longer employment.

SALARY | $16-18 per hour, W-2 employee paid biweekly

PAID TIME OFF | Requesting days off needs to be done in advance and approved by the manager. Please schedule days off around weddings or lodging bookings that you are already scheduled for.

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS | Currently no employee benefits are available at The Morris Estate; however, enrollment may be offered as any benefit programs are added in the future.

REPORTING STRUCTURE | As Housekeeper, you will report directly to Head of Housekeeping or the General Manager of The Morris Estate.

JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

HOUSEKEEPER

Cleaning of wedding venues, offices and residences as scheduled and directed by the Head of Housekeeping, maintaining clean facilities per supervisor’s checklists. Cleaning suites and common areas at The River House and cabins. Cleaning the Chapel, Tent, restroom trailer, offices, and other facilities as needed. Daily tasks would include: sweeping, vacuuming, laundry, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, organizing and inventory. Must be able to be on your feet for the whole shift and be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Other Duties as assigned.
