SUMMARY
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of publicly accessible and staff-used areas of Reserve buildings, including restrooms, to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting as necessary. Five days a week, full time schedule with flexibility on days and hours of regular schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Cleans and restocks all Reserve restrooms.
- Ensures all publicly accessible areas and staff workspace are clean and orderly.
- Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies, order supplies when needed and submits monthly expense reports.
- Arranges for outside contractor services (e.g., carpet cleaning and window washing) when appropriate.
- Collects and disposes of garbage and recycling.
- Notifies manager of necessary repairs to equipment and Reserve property.
- Coordinates activities with other departments.
- Participates in event set up and post-event cleanup at times.
- Adheres to rules relating to health and safety
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper and the ability to handle basic building maintenance and cleaning.
- Ability to manage time efficiently. Works quickly without compromising quality
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with volunteers, staff, board members, guests, participants, and contributors.
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations
- Able to legally drive a vehicle in Washington state.

- Availability on flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays) as necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to stand and walk. Minimal sitting. Occasionally climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, or hear.
- Must regularly lift and or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and or move supplies, equipment, and materials weighing approximately 10 - 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
