Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking a full-time housekeeper for our Environmental Services Department. To work Monday through Friday with weekend rotation.

About the Housekeeper Position:
The housekeeper hired for this open position should be customer service-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills. She/he should be able to get along easily with others and build rapport with customers. This person should also be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and Environmental Services Director, the housekeeper's primary responsibilities are to clean and service apartments, baths, and offices throughout the community. Primary responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and servicing apartments, baths, and offices.
- Cleaning, mopping, sweeping floors, dusting, and damp wiping window sills.
- Emptying wastebaskets.
- Scouring and polishing bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment.
- Dusting furniture and equipment.
- Cleaning and polishing chrome glass panels in doors and partitions.
- Spot cleaning walls.
- Dusting baseboards.
- Arranging furniture in public areas in an orderly fashion.
- Replenishing supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc).
- Disinfect toilets with proper germicidal.
- Keep housekeeping closets and storage closets in good order by cleaning areas and arrangements of supplies and equipment.
- Sweeping and wet mopping floors.
- Performance requirements
- Responsible for cleanliness and servicing of the assigned area, care of cleaning equipment by following the Housekeeping Department's cleaning procedures/ Efficient expenditures of soaps, waxes, polishes, and similar supplies along with neat personal appearance.
- Performs a variety of related housekeeping duties as assigned by management or as may be required to meet emergencies or other specific situations.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a genuine interest in geriatric care and must believe in and uphold the philosophy and rules of the community. She/he must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a frequent to continuous basis and perform tasks with due consideration for residents in the vicinity. The ideal candidate must take initiative and use good judgment in order to be able to maintain her/his assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.
