Our client in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Household Manager/Personal Assistant to oversee the day-to-day operations, assist the owner with all aspects of daily life, and ensure general maintenance for the home. The HM will be responsible for looking out for the well-being of owner and taking all things off the plate where possible, including many aspects of a new home build, ensuring all contractors adhere to healthy home protocol. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and have a positive attitude.
Household Manager and Personal Assistant Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ability to meal prep for the family.
- Oversee maintenance, service, home inventory and vendors and assist with all aspects of new home build.
- Maintain the organization of all spaces in the home.
- Research, interview and manage household vendors.
- Light housekeeping as needed.
- Working knowledge of physical house systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, internet, a/v equipment, air filters.
- Household calendar management
- Occasional event planning and management
- Assist with bill pay as needed.
- All errands as needed such as: returns, shopping, gifts, and mail, etc.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of similar experience
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Must be willing to undergo a background check.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be very organized.
- Independent, takes initiative with anticipating needs-find what needs doing.
- Tech savvy and able to assist the principal as needed with any social media exposure.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, strategically prioritize, and budget time accordingly, while ensuring no project falls through the cracks.
- Provides excellent, efficient communication with the owner regarding all home operations and new home builds.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 30 to 50 hours per week with guaranteed pay for 30 hours per week. Approximately 3 hours from home and/or an occasional Saturday as needed.
