Summary
Serves as a coordinator of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Hotline System for handling complaints of fraud, waste, or abuse in the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board) or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) programs and operations. Assists in conducting research and analysis in connection with OIG investigations, audits, and other reviews. Skills in research and analysis, oral and written communication, and coordinating work activities are critical.
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
At the FR-23 grade, demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, organizational skills, and knowledge of research methodologies, typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, and three years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Has automation skills, including Microsoft Office suite, and has the ability to learn new applications. Demonstrates the ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of others by exercising a high degree of tact, diplomacy, resourcefulness, and judgment. Has the ability to perform work in a service-oriented environment, providing managers and staff with excellent support in all areas. Must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
In addition, at the FR-24 grade, demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, organizational skills, and knowledge of research methodologies, typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field, or equivalent experience. In addition, must have one year of related operational experience, some of which is from working in an OIG or similar function, or conducting Hotline or similar activities. Knowledge of the Board, the CFPB, and the Federal Reserve System and their various programs and operations.
REMARKS
Position is located in Washington, D.C.; relocation funds are not available for this vacancy.

Prior experience researching financial crimes and internal employee-related matters is highly desirable.

The OIG's telework policy requires employees to be physically present in the office a minimum of 4 days per month. Employees may be expected to be physically present in the office more than 4 days per month, as required by business needs.
