Duties:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, common areas, and hallways according to hotel standards
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish amenities
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, sweep and mop floors
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and public areas
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning products and their proper usage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional manner
Skills:
- Custodial: Proficient in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings
- Floor care: Knowledgeable in floor cleaning techniques such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and carpet care
- Hotel: Understanding of hotel standards and expectations for cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Clean: Ability to thoroughly clean rooms and public areas to meet hygiene standards
- Industrial cleaning: Familiarity with using industrial-grade cleaning products and equipment for effective cleaning
- Hospitality: Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing a pleasant experience for guests
- Housekeeping management: Basic understanding of housekeeping operations and procedures
