ABOUT THE JOB:
We are looking for honest, reliable, and hard-working housekeepers that will support our team. This person is a self-driven individual who will embody our values while maintaining the supreme cleanliness of our guests rooms.
During your first few days of employment, you will receive important information regarding the performance requirements of your position, basic company policies, your compensation , plus other information necessary to acquaint you with your job and the company. You will also be asked to complete an I-9 form and present the company with information establishing your identity and your eligibility to work in the United States in accordance with applicable federal laws.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Cleans and performs general housekeeping and/or grounds clean-up duties.
- Professionally clean and maintain the hotel guest rooms following the brand standards.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces
- Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind
- Assist with laundry as needed
- Create a welcoming environment for our guests by ensuring rooms are clean and cared for
- Identify and note any damages to rooms.
- Collect and remove trash and debris
- Meet and maintain required Housekeeping metrics
- Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings
- Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products
- Other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different
- Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Previous housekeeping experience highly preferred
- Must have excellent customer service skills at all times.
- High school or GED equivalent preferred; at least two months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to lift heavy items.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to understand cleaning solutions or equipment labels and use them as instructed.
- Ability to apply common sense in matters of safety and understand simple instructions.
- Can understand cleaning solution labels and use as instructed.
- Able to work weekends and/or overtime if approved and required.
