Position Summary:
Provide daily supervision and guidance for Forbes, 5 Star Hotel Front Office room operations. Ensure each area is managed in accordance with policies and standards to maintain a professional image and superior customer service. Ensure that all reports are completed as required. Resolves guest complaints, concerns or disputes quickly and timely. Maintain and update related training manuals as well as ongoing training for employees. Provide hands-on support for related room departments.

Essential Functions:
- Adhere and monitor Stein Eriksen Lodge Standards
- Assist in attainment or surpassing of all departmental and hotel goals
- Maximize customer service and enhance the guest experience
- Maintain open lines of communication with all departments within the Hotel
- Maintain highly visible program that solicits guest comments on a consistent basis
- Actively involved in the continued success of the guest recognition program
- Participate in the preparation of the Hotel business plan and yearly budget
- Inventory and maintain supplies needed by Front Office staff
- Manage budgeted expenditures according to regular occupancy forecasts and variations
- Supervise the selection, orientation, and training process of all department employees
- Conduct performance evaluations on all related staff
- Complete assigned reports properly, accurately and timely
- Edit payroll on a timely basis
- Manage incentive and reward programs to maintain a skilled and motivated work force
- Conduct meetings on a regular basis
- Ensure standards and cleanliness of public and private areas of the Lodge are maintained
- Ensure all “call back” requests are called back
- Ensure Front Office areas are neat, clean and organized
- Follow up on all guest complaints in a timely manner
- Responsible for reviewing owner reservations
- Communicate with Rooms Director any concerns or comments
- Review Group Resume on group’s arriving
- When required; resolve guest disputes involving reservation cancellations
- Work closely with other support departments; housekeeping, reservations, and engineering
- Comprehend the importance of revenue management
- Attend and conduct periodic staff and operational meetings
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- High School diploma required/college degree preferred
- Management experience in a luxury resort property preferred
- Hotel experience required
- Excellent training and development skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven self-starter
- Professional appearance
