SalarySakura Japanese Steakhouse is looking to fill the primary Host/Hostess position. The schedule is 5 days per week, 5-6hr shifts, off Wednesday & Thursday.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Assist with take-out, collect payments, and process transactions accurately
Requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Previous experience in guest relations, hospitality, or a similar role preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food service industry standards and practices
