Host/Hostess

Objective:

To utilize exceptional customer service skills and friendly demeanor to provide guests with a welcoming and memorable dining experience at a our restaurant. Efficiently manage the seating process, handle reservations, and communicate effectively with the rest of the staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Maintain a positive attitude and attention to detail. Strive to contribute to the overall success of the restaurant and help create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greeting guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor

2. Managing the waitlist and seating guests in a timely and efficient manner

3. Communicating with the kitchen and servers to ensure a smooth flow of service

4. Providing guests with menus and answering any questions they may have about the menu

5. Taking reservations over the phone and in person

6. Ensuring the dining area is clean and organized at all times

7. Assisting with any special requests or accommodations for guests

8. Handling guest inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints in a professional manner

9. Communicating effectively with the rest of the staff to ensure a cohesive team environment

10. Adhering to all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Overall, the host or hostess plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience in our busy fine dining restaurant.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
