Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their designated tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests according to seating plans and guest preferences
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information about restaurant services
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth dining experience for guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems for managing reservations and seating arrangements
- Exceptional guest relations skills, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or restaurant setting is preferred
- Proficient phone etiquette with the ability to handle high call volumes professionally
- Excellent customer service skills, including attentiveness, patience, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with food service procedures and basic knowledge of menu items
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
