The Host/Hostess will be responsible for courteously greeting and escorting guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel's standards of service. Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant at all times. Take and maintain reservations. Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation.
High school graduate, some college.
Restaurant service experience.
Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
Certification in alcoholic awareness program.
Computer training.
Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for restaurant clientele.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the restaurant and by telephone.
Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations.
Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
Ability to suggestively sell selected food and beverage items.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Ability to remain stationary at assigned post when specified.
Ability to use Micros system and Open Table.
