Host Duties:
- Monitor the opening dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitoring the guest wait list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting.
- Answer the telephone and book reservations or answer inquiries.
- Assist with floor planning maneuvering to accommodate large parties
- Ensure that all guests entering and leaving the restaurant are addressed with a greeting or farewell.
- Communicate guest requests to the server immediately, and escalate guest concerns that are brought to your attention to the manager.
- Assist with clearing tables after guests leave. Takes tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
- Between settings promptly clean table tops, chairs, and booths. Reset and arrange tabletop.
