We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hospitality Procurement Budgeter to join our team. As a Hospitality Procurement Budgeter, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process and budgeting for hospitality supplies and services. Your expertise in contract negotiation, category management, and supplier management will be crucial in ensuring cost-effective procurement practices. If you have a strong background in procurement management and are passionate about delivering high-quality hospitality services, we would love to hear from you.
Job Duties
- Work closely with vendors to learn latest products, pricing, and any available discount programs.
- Develop a relationship with all pertinent hotel franchisors like IHG, Hilton, etc. in order to keep up to date on prototype information, franchise requirements, approved vendors, etc.
- Build prototypical budgets for different hotel chains and update these budgets on a regular basis as the franchisor changes schemes or requirements. These prototypical budgets are used both for reference and as a framework for real budgets.
- Build a matrix for each “real” project based on the designer’s room layouts to get an accurate count of what items are needed for the entire hotel.
- Check pricing and quotes frequently as quotes are valid for a limited period.
- Factor in how freight and logistics impact the budget. For instance, in a cost comparison, one case good company could look less expensive, but the freight might be astronomical, or the lead time might not work.
- Work with designers directly on all selections and custom items and make sure to obtain detailed specs to ensure proper pricing.
- Enter specs and pricing for all line items, being sure to check for both accuracy and clarity.
