Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Hospitalist shall provide direct patient care as a “Hospitalist” in accordance with the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau; assist in promoting the Hospitalist Services to the medical staff and the community; participate in departmental staff meetings and educational activities.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- MD or DO degree.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Clinical experience taking care of inpatients.
License/Certifications
- Licensure to practice medicine in New York State.
- Registration certificate with the Drug Enforcement Agency.
- Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Fine motor skills, typing.
- Sedentary work with prolonged sitting.
- Sitting in front of computer for long periods of time.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Twisting and/or bending when examining patients or performing procedures.
- Occasional requirement to move heavy patients greater than 100 pounds.
- Exposure to infectious material, disease, chemicals and radiation.
