Job Summary
This position is eligible for a hiring incentive of $10,000!
As a member of the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) Senior Leadership Team, the Hospital Administrator is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the hospital. The Hospital Administrator will oversee the provision of cost effective and quality care and treatment to those who have been civilly committed. In this role, you will develop and maintain positive, productive, and result-oriented relationships across a diverse group of people including, patients, families, providers, clinicians, hospital staff, counties, hospitals, and other stakeholders.
In collaboration with senior leaders, the Hospital Administrator will:
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, direct and evaluate all hospital functions, including administrative, patient care, clinical and clinical support functions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor work that supports the strategic goals and objectives of the hospital and organization
  • Set a standard of operational excellence and ensuring the use of continuous improvement philosophy and tools to drive high quality, patient-centered outcomes.
  • Manage the human, financial, capital, and information resources to ensure strategic goals and objectives are met and strong, effective outcomes are achieved
  • Participate in the development of and lead the implementation of organization mission, vision and values
  • E nsure a positive working relationship with all hospital disciplines; creates a culture of open progressive communication and mutual understanding between the disciplines, facility leadership and employees.
  • Assure the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, ensuring a constant patient focus.
  • Develop and leads a top-notch administrative team
  • Ensure positive employee relations and trust through communication, education, consistency and dependability
  • Lead the development of progressive physician/facility strategies and executes plans in order to optimize the long-term potential of the facility

As part of the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) administration; Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services (MHSATS) division, the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) provides acute hospital level of care to adults with mental illness and chemical addiction (often co-occurring), as well as other complex health conditions. Multidisciplinary teams provide care in an inpatient hospital guided by evidence-based practices and a person-centered treatment philosophy.
The Hospital Administrator is a statutory unclassified appointment and serves at the will of the appointing authority.
The Hospital Administrator may be eligible for relocating expenses.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executive (FACHE) or eligible to become FACHE within 12 months of hire.
  • 5 years of healthcare administration or management experience in a hospital or large residential treatment facility.Experience must include:
    • An ability to identify and cultivate talent, engender mutual respect, promote a culture of high performance and teamwork, and prioritize professional development; resulting in engaged staff and a healthy, collaborative environment
    • Demonstration of strong business acumen, a sophisticated knowledge of healthcare, and experience in making complex and difficult decisions
    • Experience leading in a healthcare regulated facility (such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), etc)
    • Experience with budget management

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7years of executive level healthcare leadership experience(CEO, Administrator, COO, etc)
  • Experience with managing an annual budget greater than $50M
