Contract Registered Nurse - Hospice
Shift: M-F typical hours 9:00am-5:00pm
This individual will identify and recommend training needs, accurately interpret and communicate federal and state regulations, and review and analyze research and provider data to promote best clinical practices related to end of life care. The incumbent will work directly with regional and central office staff responsible for quality assurance and improvement of Hospice and Palliative Care, taking steps to ensure guidelines are met and model practices communicated. As the nursing services subject matter expert, the incumbent will interpret and provide clarification on existing standards, requirements and policies and will represent the department at meetings and public forums focused on end-of-life care. The incumbent will work with the Center Director to ensure the goals of the Center are met.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal Candidate will be familiar with standards, rules and guidelines governing end of life care. The candidate will be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
