Duties:
- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in hospice settings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient's condition and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with pain management and symptom control
- Educate patients and their families on end-of-life care options and provide emotional support
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, chaplains, and therapists
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Hospice Nurse
- Proficient in providing care for patients of all ages, including toddlers, neonates, and elderly individuals
- Knowledge of coding and billing practices related to hospice care
- Familiarity with infection control protocols in a healthcare setting
- Experience in providing specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Familiarity with the use of neonatal ventilators for respiratory support
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
