Hospice Medical Social Worker and Volunteer Coordinator
Starting Salary Range is $35.00/hr. to $42.00/hr, depending upon experience and education.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in social work (accredited by the Council on Social Work Education)
- Hospice experience and understanding of death/dying philosophy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Current CPR Certification
- Valid driver's license and insured automobile in good condition
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services
- A knack for managing volunteer personnel

Job Summary
As a Hospice Medical Social Worker and Volunteer Coordinator, you'll be an essential part of our patient care team. Your role will involve assessing the psychosocial status of patients and families, providing counseling, maintaining clinical records, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the best care possible. Additionally, you'll manage our volunteer program, coordinating activities, providing support, and ensuring the program's effectiveness.

Your Duties Will Include:
- Assessing patients' psychosocial status
- Carrying out social evaluations and interventions
- Maintaining clinical records
- Providing information and referrals to patients and families
- Developing relationships with community agencies
- Participating in interdisciplinary group meetings
- Overseeing our volunteer program
- Supervising and evaluating volunteers
- Organizing and developing volunteer training
