SalaryOur busy home health agency is rapidly growing and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver. You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home. $22 - $24 hourly
Responsibilities:- Maintain psychological and emotional support for patients and family members - provide quality companionship
- Ambulate patients as indicated in the care plan, and help patients complete exercises and physical therapy as needed
- Travel with patients to health care service providers, doctors’ offices, grocery stores, or for other errands, as needed
- Supervise medications and assist patient in organizing, refilling, and taking medications, as well as meal planning and preparation
- Reinforce accurate and up-to-date care records and work with the case manager to implement the patient care plan
- 1-3 years of experience as an HHA/ home health aide, personal caregiver, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency, at patient homes or care facilities settings is needed
- Current CPR certification and first aid training is needed and you must be able to pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical
- Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills
- Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 100 lbs, may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed
- Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
