Form of workPrimary Purpose:
Work with the homebound team, related services staff, nurses/caregivers and parents to instruct students who are confined to the home. Provide appropriate learning activities aligned to the students' individual education plans to help them progress and fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsement
Valid Texas teaching certificate with a general education endorsement
Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of students with special needs
Knowledge of the Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) process
General knowledge of content in designated area
Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One year of teaching experience
Salary: Teacher / 10 Months
