Home Health Clinical Educator Supervisor, Rn

A well established Home Health agency is seeking a Clinical Educator Supervisor for their office in the Palm Springs, CA area. This successful company is a premier provider of home care and offers a generous salary and an industry leading benefit package.  Must be a Registered Nurse.

Works in collaboration with the Home Health management team to develop, implement and evaluate the clinical education program according to the Medicare Conditions of Participation, California Title 22, CHAP, and evidence-based practice guidelines. Works under the direction of the Associate Administrator to support members of the quality team with analysis and implementation or processes and programs to meet regulatory compliance and standards of practice for Home Health. Providers oversight and leadership to the certified Home Health aide staff.

• Collaborates with the Home Health management team to design a clinical education program based on organizational needs identified by the management team, staff, regulatory surveys and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) data analysis.
• Participates in the development of clinical educational goals, objectives and modules for Home Health.
• Collaborates with the Home Health management team to develop and implement annual clinical competencies for Home Health.
• Performs an annual educational needs assessment for the organization, aggregates and presents results to the management team.
• Participates in policy and procedure review of all clinical policies.
• Collaborates with the Home Health management team in the development and implementation of Home Health new employee orientation program.
• Assists in developing and maintaining data collection systems for the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) program in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
• Performs data analysis for Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities in collaboration with the Quality Manager or member of the administrative team.
• Participates in the development of educational programs related to performance improvement activities and regulatory changes.
• Provides leadership and direction to the certified Home Health aide (CHHA) team. Identifies and implements training and development opportunities for CHHA staff. Completes performance evaluation of CHHA staff members in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 3-5 years of healthcare experience. Home Health, Hospice, Quality or Education experience, preferred.
• Basic understanding of the performance improvement process and Medicare conditions of participation. Understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement Principals.
• Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization.
• Current California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
