Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritionary needs are met
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the nurse or supervisor
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Experience in patient care, preferably in a nursing home or similar setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Attention to detail and ability to observe changes in client's condition
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
