Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the care plan established by the nurse or healthcare professional.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medication as directed by the nurse or healthcare professional.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Help patients with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Experience:
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving preferred.
- Familiarity with hospice care, memory care, or working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and techniques.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide quality care to patients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to care plans.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
