Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the care plan established by the Registered Nurse or therapist
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Follow infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
Skills:
- Experience in memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand medical documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
