Pay: $20 per hour + Benefits for FT employees
Job Overview:
Are you looking to truly impact the lives of others? Does working with individuals to succeed sound like the ideal position? The Independent Living Skills Counselor (IE Home Health Aide) works with clients in the community and their homes. The counselor will implement the goals of each individual client by following the Individual Service Plan to include: Personal/Social/Domestic/financial Community Goals.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Developmental Support:Teach clients skills they need to live their everyday lives, such as cooking, clearing, chores, and accountability.
- Complete hand-over-hand demonstrations
- No client will be the same; you must possess the ability to create various plans ideal for the client's development.
- Consistently professionally represent PARCA and act as a representative of the organization in furthering its objectives and advocating for improvement in the quality of life for persons with de developmental disabilities.
- Commitment to strong performance, high standard accountability, and openness to feedback.
- High degree of integrity when working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Enjoy assisting neurodivergent, developmentally disabled, or behaviorally challenged individuals.
Prior Experience as a Caregiver/PCS/Home Health Aide/ILS Counselor is necessary.
Minimum Requirements for this role:
- (1) Year of Care Giving Experience Minimum
- Must have valid 1st Aid and Adjult CPR or obtain this within 2 weeks of hire
- Must pass a background check
- You must choose one of these 2 options in order to drive clients. You must have a valid CA DRL and current insurance, OR you can travel with clients via public transit.
