Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Help patients with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Compassionate and caring nature.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions closely.
- Familiarity with dementia care is a plus.
