We offer paid training to all Care Advocates, which covers the following responsibilities:
Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care under direction of nursing staff
- Assist with ADLs to clients (bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating)
- Assist in the transport of clients for errands, doctor appointments and social activities.
- Provide companionship and basic care to clients
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment
- Build rapport with our clients; engage in conversation and provide companionship
Caregiver Requirements:
- Active DC Home Health Aide license
- 2 years or more of Home Health Aid and Caregiving care is required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Current TB, CPR, and health screen.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A professional and friendly attitude
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Work well in teams
- Enjoy spending time with seniors!
Job Location: Washington DC
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 6 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
