Home Care RN needed in Asheville, NC
**Salary - Up to $90K per year (depeneding on experience)**
Responsibilities of a Home Care RN:
- To follow the established guidelines for the NC Homecare Regulations;
- Developing and documenting the plan of care and recording such documentation in the clients records and with other care partners as agreed upon;
- Orienting the caregiver to the plan of care and ensuring the caregiver is competent to participate in the care tasks assigned; Evaluating the home setting for safety and appropriateness related to the care needs identified;
- Evaluating the client’s environment to determine what assistance will be available from the family members or other care givers so as to ensure client safety in the absence of agency personnel; To obtain signed contracts and other required agency forms from client, family member, or responsible person regarding the care of the client;
- Supervising the provision of care by paraprofessional staff in accordance with applicable rules and regulations; Participating in the evaluation of field staff performance including but not limited to appearance, rapport with the client and family, compliance with executing assigned tasks;
- Handles grievances and complaints in an efficient and timely manner according to agency policy;
- Documents reported Client / Employee Accidents and Incidents including Medication Errors;
- Documenting ongoing evaluation of the client’s care needs and communicating need
- for revisions with the appropriate resources; Consulting with supervisors and staff, individually or in groups, regarding clients or families, special programs or service programs;
- Cooperating with other agencies providing nursing or related services to provide continuity of care and to implement a comprehensive care plan;
- Maintains compliance with all agency policies and procedures; Participates in client case conferences according to agency policy.
- Reports and updates client condition to the Director / Administrator(s) as needed &Consults with Director / Administrator(s) as issues and concerns arise
Functional Abilities:
- Must have physical agility to perform required tasks including bending and stooping.
- Must have visual / hearing ability to comprehend written / verbal communications.
- Must have the ability to verbalize so that the average person can comprehend.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of ten (10) pounds.
- Must be able to handle stress and remain calm under pressure.
- Is available after office hours, in an on-call capacity, for emergencies involving the healthcare staff and or clients.
- Demonstrates skill in conflict resolution.
- Represents and always maintain a positive and professional manner.
- Maintains consistent and concise lines of authority and responsibilities.
- Attends QA/QI and Advisory committee meetings, as appropriate.
- Have knowledge of agency policies and procedures and be a resource for other staff members.
Work Environment:
- Blend of field work involving driving with some office time
Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience in Home Care
- Must have North Carolina RN license
- Must have at least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Must represents and always maintain a positive and professional manner.
- Must maintain consistent and concise lines of authority and responsibilities.
- Must have knowledge of agency policies and procedures and be a resource for other staff members.
