Job Description
The Opportunity: The Staffing Coordinator under the direction of the Manager assists in the staffing and selection of personnel to meet needs. Provides clerical support to agency as directed by manager.
Shift: Monday – Friday, daytime hours. Occasional weekend and holiday work.
The Work:
The Staffing Coordinator for SLHS Home Care and Hospice coordinates the schedules of clinicians providing care to patients.
- Schedules admission and ongoing visits through EPIC work queues for clinical staff providing care to patients in their homes.
- Makes calls to patients as appropriate for the needs of scheduling.
- Takes scheduling calls and questions from patients and their caregivers.
- Maintains knowledge of Home Care and hospice regulations as it pertains to scheduling of patients.
- Monitors and enters data into EPIC and spreadsheets as requested.
- Communicates clearly and courteous with employees, patients and caregivers.
- Supports case conferencing as requested: preparation and documentation of case conference.
- Works all reports to insure patient’s Home Care and hospice episodes are discarded and/or discharged in a timely manner.
- Provides back up support to the front desk as needed.
- Works deficiency work queues for transfers and discharges and sends summaries to physicians.
- Other duties that may be assigned to support the needs of the agency.
