Family Restoration Services (FRS) provides an array of services to emotionally disabled youth requiring supportive services to stabilize in their own homes. Family Restoration seeks to restore optimal health to the body, mind, and spirit. In this respect, our mission is to offer youth and families restorative counsel to repair dysfunctional homes, build healthy familial relationships, and to curb negative behaviors and attitudes through fitness and nutritional activities, therapeutic interventions and community partnering.
We are seeking part-time Holistic Afterschool Support Counselors to support emotionally challenged youth who have a myriad of disabilities. In this role, you oversee daily activities, provide youth homework assistance and work to curb negative attitudes and behaviors. Specialists will work part-time between the hours of 1 pm and 6 pm. Qualified candidates should be able to be able to exercise appropriate clinical judgment in potentially threatening or serious situations and have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Oversee daily activities, interactions, and behaviors
- Provide direct supervision, monitoring and behavior intervention to emotionally challenged youth with disabilities ranging from non-verbal to requiring toileting
- Apply therapeutic interventions to deescalate behaviors to keep consumers safe
- Transport youth from school to the Afterschool Program in a large company vehicle
- Serve as a positive influence and role model
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year experience working with emotionally/behaviorally challenged youth
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- CPI certification (preferred)
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- High School diploma/GED
- Available to work from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Able to drive a large company vehicle
