Hogan Developer

UMB Bank NA, seeks a Hogan Developer/Application Developer II for Kansas City, MO, with option to telecommute, work from anywhere within US.
This team is comprised of application developers and architects providing support of our Core Deposits and Customer systems (also known as Hogan Systems). These core banking systems provide UMB the means to customize our online, real-time access to the bank's customer accounts and relationships across the entire enterprise. This allows us to offer our consumer, commercial and small business customers convenient, easy access to their accounts, how, when and where they want it.
As a Hogan Developer/Application Developer II, you will play a critical role in collaborating with business partners and analysts to analyze the Hogan System's current capabilities to drive development and implementation of system improvement and optimization following secure coding practices. How you'll spend your time:
The Hogan Developer/Application Developer II will be responsible for working with minimal assistance to troubleshoot, maintain, configure, analyze, test, scope, estimate and design technical and non-technical solutions required to satisfy clients' needs. Perform development tasks which will involve extraction, transfer, and presentation of data, performing all associated transformations, validations, cleansing, and preparation of data. Work on elements of large, complex installations. Develop and implement process improvements, be a resource and advocate for the business partners. Work closely with user and management to maintain and continually improve the operations, maintenance, and documentation of the systems. Perform additional application developer duties, as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Five years' progressive experience which must include experience in the following:

• support and development using Hogan COBOL development language and completing upgrades within the Hogan Release Control System (RCS);
• application Development using Hogan COBOL, and MF Zeke scheduler tool and MF JES2 JCL;
• Hogan PAS/API Design/Development;
• implementation/support of packaged apps with components running under a variety of possible technologies besides the mainframe such as: DB2, MQ series; and
• set up of data transmissions to include one of the following data transmission types: NDM or Cyberfusion.

Position also requires the following: demonstrated proficiency with at least two of the following technologies: IBM COBOL language, Hogan Customer Information Systems (CIS), VSAM data sets, JCL, CHANGE MAN, TSO/ISPF, ZEKE, Insych, Trace master, Dump master, and RDS.

Compensation Range:
Minimum: $60,795.00 - Mid Point: $86,835.00 - Maximum: $112,875.00
