Histotechnologist

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Histology technician (HT) to join our anatomic pathology laboratory family in Wilson, NC. You should apply if you have general histology experience. The HT is responsible for embedding, microtomy, and staining of specimens.

What you'll be doing (Job Responsibilities):

• Properly embed processed tissue with correct orientation.
• Cutting paraffin blocks of various tissue types/size.
• Preparation of reagents and monitor inventory.
• Operate and maintain instrumentation.
• Maintains laboratory quality assurance and quality control records.
• Comply with safety policies and standard operating procedures.

About you (Minimum Requirements):

• Certified HT or HTL (ASCP) preferred.
• Meets CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing.
• 1+ years of previous experience
• Works with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
