Responsibilities:
Research: The fellowship is primarily oriented towards research. The Fellow will be expected to spend the majority of their time pursuing their own research on a topic within the History of Philosophy that will lead to significant scholarly publications.
Teaching: The Fellow will teach one undergraduate course each semester for the Philosophy Department. The theme and scope of the course, generally within the Fellow’s area of expertise, will be decided together with the Department’s Chair.
Service: The Fellow will contribute to the development of a new History of Philosophy Forum program geared towards mentoring advanced undergraduates in research and writing. The Fellow will also be expected to participate in the History of Philosophy Forum’s and the Philosophy Department’s academic events, workshops, and colloquia.
