Historic Preservation Specialist

This position in Region Nine Mitigation Division's Environmental & Historic Preservation Branch will be conducting Historic Preservation and/or cultural resource compliance reviews related to federal or state Historic Preservation laws, and analyzing project needs, and use concepts of project management.

To qualify for this Historic Preservation Specialist position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

1. Researching and evaluating structures for historical and architectural significance consistent with the National Register of Historic Places; and
2. Applying strategies according to Historic Preservation laws or regulations; and
3. Participating in the briefing of Historic Preservation policy or program concepts to stakeholders.

Education with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR
LL.M.

OR Combination of education and experience.
