General Description:
Maintain and install equipment
Personality Traits Required to Perform Duties:
Must be hardworking, reliable, and conscientious
Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform Duties:
- Ability to troubleshoot proficiently
- Operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, pipe threader, band saw
- Ability to design and/or fabricate
Degree of Supervision Required:
Minimal
Essential Job Tasks:
- Maintain all equipment in plant
- Maintain rolling stock
- Do any fabrication needed
- Grind planer knives and scarfer heads
- Sharpen skill saw blades
- Make up blades for band saws
- Frequent overtime
- These plus any and all reasonable duties prescribed by management that may be deemed necessary and in keeping with the efficient and consistent operation of the plant.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedule
Other Job Tasks:
- Monitor equipment for preventative maintenance
- Repair blocks for Glueline
- Electrical experience a plus
Tools Used:
- All types of tools including hand and automated tools.
