San Diego Jewish Academy seeks a dynamic High School Jewish Studies Teacher skilled in creating and maintaining a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The successful candidate will have a confirm level in a broad range of subject knowledge in a variety of topics in Judaic Studies. This position may involve teaching Tanach, Rabbinics, Jewish history, Jewish values, Jewish rituals, and/or Israel, with a focus on how the views of Jewish traditions inform aspects of our lives today. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the diverse viewpoints associated with teaching in a pluralistic day school setting. The ideal candidate will have facility with studying and teaching text using Hebrew. This role will work closely with members of the staff to provide and inspiring and motivational Jewish learning environment. High School teachers also participate in minyan, assist in Jewish life programming, and chaperone as needed.

  • Salary Range & Benefits Package: The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,643 to $83,159. The offer to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and years of experience; training; practical knowledge; and education.
