Form of workWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our High School Girls track and field coaching staff as an Assistant Coach specializing in Field Events. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing the skills and potential of our student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized coaching in Field Events, including shot put, discus, javelin, long jump, triple jump, and high jump.
- Develop and implement effective training programs tailored to individual athlete needs. - Assist in organizing and conducting team practices, ensuring a focus on skill development, technique, and conditioning.
- Collaborate with the head coach to strategize and plan for competitions, meets, and tournaments.
- Inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their personal best, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Monitor and track athlete progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of athletes during practices and competitions. Qualifications: - Previous coaching experience in High School or equivalent level, with a focus on Field Events.
- Deep knowledge of proper techniques and training methods for shot put, discus, javelin, long jump, triple jump, and high jump.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with student-athletes, parents, and coaching staff.
- Passion for fostering both athletic and personal development in High School athletes.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of sportsmanship and integrity. Requirements:
- Valid coaching certifications and credentials. - Compliance with all relevant school district and athletic association policies.
- Availability for afternoon and evening practices, as well as weekend competitions.
