We are actively hiring a High School English Teacherfor the 2023-2024 school year!
The Village School is a private college preparatory school for grades Early Childhood through High School. Our High School offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma program and boarding opportunities through the Nord Anglia Boarding program.

This position requires a combination of both school experience and passion for teaching.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll help us develop and teach courses in English to students in High School.
- You’ll deliver lessons that develop students' theoretical and applied English grammar.
- You’ll identify varying teaching methods that work best for all students.
- As a genuine team player, you’ll work across the High School division to ensure students are learning and growing.
- Everything we do is connected to our vision to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens who will change our world for the better.
- A Village School teacher should be knowledgeable about not only his or her department and the curriculum developed there but about the school environment as a whole. They should be able to provide information about special programs offered as well as the philosophy of the school itself.
- A Village School teacher should be a proponent of the school and willing to talk about the school in a positive light to all constituents.
- A Village School teacher should work cooperatively and collectively with school Directors, Instructional Coach, Coordinators, Department Heads and other Teachers to ensure that instructional programs are coordinated and are administered uniformly and equitably in alignment with desired outcome.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
- At least three years of teaching experience, preferred.
- Training in effective English instructional methods
- Experience teaching a High School level english curriculum
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
- Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
- Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
