Job Duties
- Teach students in a classroom setting, managing their work output in the classroom
- Manage student behavior on a daily basis
- Facilitate individual student learning in a multi age classroom setting using digital technology
- State Certified in English & Social Studies (temporary license acceptable)
- Develop teaching and learning materials for use in class, including lesson plans, exams and projects, and assignments that make use of all student skills
- Modify lesson plans materials respectively in our digital system
- Monitor and track student progress and issue grades
- Maintain relationships & communications with parents and legal guardians
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and administrators
- Attend monthly faculty meetings - Saturday mornings
- Training with digital software and any new programs introduced by management
- Collaborate with other teachers in order to share best practices and provide meaningful feedback
- Ensure that students meet State standards and school performance goals for their grade level
- NWEA testing experience & an understanding NWEA to improve student academic performance
- Create a positive classroom environment for optimal learning
- Must be comfortable using a computer & fluent in Microsoft Office
- Minimum of five Years’ Teaching Experience preferred
- Other duties as assigned to the position
