Keeps patient room and hallways free of clutter. Disposes of soiled linen in appropriate container. Keeps nursing station clean and neat. Cleans equipment and stores in appropriate area
Performs professional responsibilities. Adheres to Nursing Department dress code. Attends mandatory in-services, education, and unit meetings
Communicates with others in completing work assignments and accomplishing department/unit goals. Utilizes appropriate channels of communication
Communicates any pertinent data in regards to patient condition to appropriate licensed nurse. Assists the healthcare team as needed
Provides patient care within competency and scope of certification. Assists patient with activities of daily living. Performs Finger Stick Blood Sugars.
Takes vital signs and measures weights and records in clinical record. Rounds according to policy.
Empties drains, catheters, drainage tubes. Calculates and documents intake and output. Collects, labels and routes specimens. Performs oropharyngeal suctioning as indicated. Assists patient with incentive spirometry. Reinforces patient to turn, cough, and deep breathe. Assists patients with dietary needs.
Assists patient with elimination needs. Performs catheter care. Performs perineal care. Prepares and administers enemas. Provides incontinence care. Discontinues Foley when applicable.
Initiates and follows High Risk Fall Precautions as indicated. Follows Suicide Precautions when applicable. Assists with application and monitoring of restrictive devices.
Maintains up to date annual mandatories and Job/Department Specific Competency requirements
