Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes or assisted living facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or in hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and tube feeding techniques
- Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Physical stamina to lift and transfer clients as needed
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes or assisted living facilities
