Rate of Pay: $15.50 per hour
Position Purpose:
Provides a variety of support to the Exhibits Program including safeguarding building entrances/exits, answering questions from the public, conducting tours of the museum and courtyard, and completing clerical tasks as needed. This is a seasonal/temporary position not exceed 122 days.

Essential Functions:
- During events, safeguards exhibits and watches building entrances and exits.
- Provides information about the exhibit to the public and answers questions about the exhibit, the event and the property.
- Provide guided tours to guests.
- Facilitate learning activities for children.
- May clean a variety of exhibit structures and props, prepares them for use, installs them where instructed, and dismantles at the end of an event.
- May provide basic clerical assistance as needed.
- Greet guests that visit Heroes Hall.
- Monitor guests for buildings maximum capacity.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Previous experience working with the public.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Available all 23 days during the OC Fair (mid July- mid August).
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as required by events and programs.
Preferences:
- Previous experience in a related field.
- Some clerical experience preferred, including the ability to type, file, and answer phones.
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud, particularly when working outdoors or in an exhibit building.
