Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HE&OR) Associate. This position is responsible for the scientific and methodological aspects of all observational database analytics and evidence synthesis with minimal supervision.

Job Description

  • Lead business development including identifying of client expansion opportunities, solicitating business solutions, drafting proposals, providing subject matter expertise, and driving marketing initiatives (such as generating marketing contents, creating webinars, being conference speakers, etc.).
  • Closely monitor, track and report customers movement and building professional sales network.
  • Serve as a key point of contact with clients. Build and nurture client relationships by proactively driving meaningful conversations to uncover and communicate with KMK leadership team on clients' organizational updates and challenges, business process room for improvement, client key stakeholders' objectives and initiatives.
  • Coach managers to effectively identify clients' business pain points, short-term and long-term business objectives, propose and scope out HEOR/RWE studies with clear business and statistical rationales on all aspects of RWE databases studies/analyses including objectives, project framework and phases, study design and methodology, data source identification and comparison, protocol development, statistical analysis and interpretation, project timeline and resource, roles and responsibilities.
  • Coach managers to effectively manage and track client engagement, current and future projects, KMK team resource utilization and planning, KMK team skills and capabilities improvement.
  • Develop and manage RWE teams (on-shore + off-shore) in the design, development and delivery of client deliverables. Forecast resource needs and implement team capacity and capability expansion through effective recruitment and training plans and activities.
  • Oversee teams to implement HEOR/RWE projects and ensure all deliverable be in scope with predetermined standards
  • Generalize and build KMK institutional learnings to create new offers and training materials on all relevant aspects of observational study, such as study design, advanced statistical methods, etc.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD within a relevant discipline (statistics, epidemiology, pharmacology)
  • 7+ years industry or consulting and business development experience in study design of observational database analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm to learn and motivation to develop oneself and others
  • Ability to effectively work in a matrix environment and flexibility to adapt to client project needs in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial workplace

  • Good communication skills: Good candidates are able to take detailed study results and communicate them in a clear, non-technical manner to internal cross-functional teams, using language that resonates with the teams, while maintaining the integrity of key findings.
  • Great at time and task management: Good candidates are able to estimate the amount of time needed to complete a task, communicate this to client clearly and deliver it on time.
  • Quick learning capability/Self-motivated: Good candidates have the ability to learn new technologies on their own.
  • Good team player

Technical requirements:

  • Preferred MS in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, computer science, or other quantitative analysis fields.
  • Demonstrated competence in the application of statistical techniques, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, machine learning, etc..
  • Professional programming skills with SAS and SQL. R and/or Python programming experience is plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
