Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as an Inflatable Business Helper / Driver. This position involves assisting with the delivery, setup, and operation of commercial bounce houses, waterslides, obstacles, as well as other rental equipment such as tables, chairs, and tents. The ideal candidate will be responsible, customer-focused, and capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role includes driving company vehicles to transport the equipment to various event locations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of all items.
Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Setup and Operation:
- Assist with the setup and takedown of inflatable bounce houses, waterslides, obstacle courses, and other rental equipment at event locations.
- Ensure all equipment is properly installed and operated according to safety guidelines and industry standards.
- Provide on-site supervision and assistance to ensure the safe and enjoyable use of the equipment by event attendees.
2. Transportation and Delivery:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport inflatable equipment, tables, chairs, and tents to event venues and rental locations.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving to and from event sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
3. Customer Service:
- Interact with clients and event organizers in a professional and courteous manner during equipment delivery and setup.
- Address any customer inquiries and provide basic instructions on the proper use and care of the rental equipment.
- Represent the company in a positive light and ensure client satisfaction with the delivered services.
4. Equipment Maintenance:
- Assist in the cleaning, drying, and proper storage of inflatable structures, waterslides, obstacle courses, and other rental items after each event.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as patching, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure the quality and longevity of the rental inventory.
5. Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work in collaboration with other team members to efficiently execute setup and takedown procedures at event locations.
- Communicate effectively with the operations manager and other staff members to coordinate delivery schedules and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the lifting, setup, and takedown of inflatable structures and other rental equipment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Prior experience in event setup, equipment rental, or similar roles is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This role entails working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The position may also involve irregular work hours based on event schedules and seasonal demand.
