Velonex Technologies is looking for a skilled Help Desk/Field Tech. The person in this role will be responsible for providing technical assistance with computer hardware and software and resolving technical issues for clients via providing in-person and remote assistance. This position requires on-site travel to support our clients primarily in the NJ (07660) area, and NY (10018) area as needed. Travel mileage is reimbursed.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
1. Track customer issues and resolutions
2. End User support both remotely and on-site
3. Manage client's IT infrastructure including Servers, Workstations, and mobile devices
4. Able to create procedures, documentation, and reports
5. Function as first level support
6. Regular on-site visits to clients in Santa Monica area with travel to West Hollywood and Beverly Hills area as needed
What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications):
· Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
· Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
· Positive and professional demeanor
· Service oriented and ready to assist people with their technology needs
· Experience with Microsoft environment; Windows, Microsoft 365, Office & cloud collaboration
· Manage client's IT infrastructure including Servers, Workstations, and mobile devices
· Able to follow & create procedures and documentation.
· Some familiarity with networking - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls and Wireless networks
· Attention to detail
· Great Customer Service – we serve people by helping with their technology needs
· Ability to follow procedure
· Keep accurate documentation
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications):
· Experience working for an MSP with remote monitoring and management tools
· Experience with Mac OS helpful but not required.
· Some exposure to the design and implementation of IT solutions to fit client needs
· Some knowledge of Anti-Virus and security basics
· Initiative-taking collaborator who can work autonomously without constant supervision
Physical Requirements:
· Stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to lift/push/pull 40 lbs.
